Welcome to South East Ecologic Homes

We create quality, functional and beautiful homes that work for our clients. By utilising design principles and our design partnerships we go beyond building just an eco home.

Our focus is on creating a climate in both house and site that is comfortable, achieved through passive energy and efficient design.

We work with out client and designers throughout the design and build process to create a stylish and sustainable space. Whether it be a new home, creative extension or renovation, we've completed projects for clients with differing visions and budgets.  Whether your your at the very beginning of the home journey wondering where to start or you have a completed plan, we can create.

Healthy building practices, healthy homes, healthy people

When we build a home, we envision that we are creating a balanced ecosystem that is designed to support itself. Each project is specifically tailored to complement the particular natural environment of the building site. We utilise natural elements on-site wherever possible, thus allowing the environment to sustain you like nature intended.

We consider the seasonal arcs of the sun to design a space that stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. We further harness the power of the sun through solar passive design and solar energy panels.

We use both Active and passive systems to utilise solar energy in buildings.

We are certified as passive house builders.

We reduce heat loss through exposure to unfavourable wind and reduce energy consumption in cooling by funnelling cooling breezes and shading systems.

We make use of materials with adequate thermal properties, thus eliminating the need for excessive heating and cooling.

We implement passive air cooling systems, using the natural flow of cool and warm air to condition an internal air temperature.

We implement the innovative technology of energy efficient Mechanical extract ventilation units and ventilated building cavity’s. helping homes to reduce energy consumption whilst creating a healthy indoor environment.

We consider the potential of pre-existing or added natural features. For example, trees provide not only shade, but also act as cooling units, wind protection, and a source of food. Native evergreen trees like eucalypts can act as weather shields throughout the winter, whilst planted european deciduous trees such as elms with a lower oil content can help to reduce fire.

We maximise our use of sustainable materials, We are conscious of reducing toxic materials wherever possible.

You can expect an Ecologic home to:

  • Reduce your energy bills

  • Keep you naturally cooler in summer and warmer in winter

  • Provide a healthier home environment with increased airflow

  • Reduce the need for toxic chemicals in the building process

  • Provide you with a home that is customised to your individual needs and overall vision

  • Empower you with increased self-sufficiency

  • Provide a quality, stylish and creative space
