BEGA BEND HOME

CUrrAJONG RETREAT

Marramarra lodge

In 2019 south east ecologic homes helped to project manage, renovate and construct the new Marramarra lodge establishment.

The lodge includes Luxury eco cabins, luxury glamping tents, day spa, restaurant, boat shed bar and tours.

Retirement dream

A privilege to bring Robert and Mary’s retirement dream home to life, whilst incorporating eco-logic features.

High level of insulation, double glazed windows, north facing highlight window to capture winter sun, cathedral ceiling in living room/kitchen, biomass wood pellet heater, elevated recycled container pool, locally sourced hardwood floors, louvre windows throughout to create natural passive airflow.

Stone cabin

Off grid stone cottage renovated at carrajong common eco farm stay (glaming tents currently under construction)

The cottage was stripped back to its old stone bones and rebuild, utilising onsite bush poles and reclaimed timber throughout. A natural lime and sugarcane mulch render was used internally achieving a beautiful soft organic finish while adding insulation and thermal mass to the old stone walls.

Mudbrick renovation and extension

design and build

Ecologic homes design and build, design partnership with Tony Otton draftsman. A fusion of earthy and modern, built with reclaimed timber, Environmentally sustainable masonry (Woodstone by Natural brick co) and beautiful locally made iron bark windows. The home has been orientated and designed around the natural arcs of the summer and winter sun. The home and site have been designed, and developed together to create a comfortable, efficient and sustainable space. Trees were planted in strategic positions early on in the construction process providing shade, wind protection, natural cooling units, source of food and fire retardants. We have installed eco friendly rain catchments and grey water systems.
